That sucks. The same thing happened to me. I was referred to a Dr. by my insurance company who said he was in network. I went to him. And thenthe Dr went out of network between when I had my appointment and when the insurance company received the bill. But I think that last part saved me.

After six months of arguing with the insurance company dealing with all their dishonest and self-contradictory excuses, I wrote an editorial in the school newspaper about how the insurance companies were screwing students. I think the school officials got on the insurance company's case because I finally got a call back from the company saying they would take care of it. It was a good thing because the collectors starting to hunt me down about this by then.

I hope you guys can find some way to get them to play fair.
